Labor Day Picnic

Thanks so much to all those that participated in the Labor Day Fun Shoot and Picnic. Everyone brought great sides and desserts, and Coach (Chef) Jim made some fantastic “secret recipe” ribs and chicken. He had good grillin’ help with dogs & burgers too by our chefs John Lewellen , Alan Davidson and Doug Hagerty . We owe a really BIG Thank-You to Susan Hagerty who organized this event, gathered all the food, handled set up and clean up and made sure everything went on as planned. JOAD Directors Coach Chris & Coach Don organized an animal shoot through the field range, to give students an opportunity to try and understand about yards and how the roving range is set up.

Reminder: No Session next Saturday the 15th; GA State Outdoor Tournament

Reminder-there will be no session, but go to the Conyers tournament and see what happens! The tournament lasts 2 days and is open to various types of equipment.

New Pictures of KAC events by Michael Engshun

Photographer Michael Engshun, one of our archers, has been capturing images of our beginner classes, and most recently, the Labor Day Picnic. He presents several training progressions and some great "moments" at the range on a site he created for Kennesaw Archery Club images. General info: (part of note from Kenny )

“ I know some of you have mentioned that you would be available to help during the Trials.  Please email and let me know when you will be available to help out.  This way I can better determine how to focus our efforts.  We will need folks to help set up the field, help at registration, help reset the field after Friday, help with scoring (Jim & Eric, I think you said you would help with this?), and help break down the field
Hopefully I will hear back by Friday from some of the folks I have recently called.  I'll give those of you I see Saturday at the GA Team meeting any update I have.

Thanks,
Kenny

See you on the range,
Coach Jefflyne
